Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, "The kingdom of Heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field.."

A mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds, but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

The great principle or beginning, heaven, is infused into man the microcosm, who reflects the star like nature and thus, as the smallest part and end of the work of creation, contains the whole. (C. G. Jung)

A seed is a package of information, a package of intelligence so profound and precise that it boggles the mind.

The Kingdom above operates like a tree below. The processes that characterize a living, growing organism such as a tree also apply to the Universe, with all its complexity and mystery and to our day to day lives as well.

As is the case with many of the parables, this lesson is about cultivating a state of consciousness, a mind set that will lead to higher states of awareness and ultimately to more refined and effective decisions and actions.

Know that everyone of your decisions is a split point, a branch point that births an entirely new world, a world of your own choosing.

Claim your part in the creation process and resolve to take full responsibility for the decisions you are making as your life and the Universes it grows within continue to expand and develop in miraculous ways.

Realize you are a cell in the whole, and that every thought you think, every decision you make, every choice and intention you exercise, will ultimately manifest and take form as an integrated and important contribution to the living, organic tree of Life that is God.
