Fear of losing safety and control
Fear of aloneness and disconnection
Fear of unworthiness

1) Fear of losing safety can be triggered at the first sign of danger or insecurity when we experience pain or discomfort.
Our fears are mostly imaginary, yet they keep us living in a constricted way. It can feel uncomfortable and insecure to explore and work with our darker emotions and unhealed pain. Helplessness coming from illness or loss pushes us to the edge where our only real option is to surrender.

2) Fear of aloneness or disconnection can be felt as the fear of abandonment, loss or death. Most people try to avoid this fear. Many enter into relationships or engage in affairs. The extent to which people have affairs is proportional to the urgency of needing to avoid feeling alone.

Fear of disconnection can penetrate more deeply because it can be disconnection from others as well as from our own heart. Essentially we need to sit with this fear and feel it rather than run away from it.

3) Fear of unworthiness can take many forms including the fear that I don't count, fear of inadequacy, of being unworthy of love, of being nothing or the basic fear that we'll never measure up. Most of these are based on self judgements and can be healed by choosing to love ourselves rather than judge ourselves and do what we are good at, giving us opportunity to build self esteem.
