12-29-09 Inspirational Message: The Power of Purpose and Direction

When you are born into this life you come with your very own purpose and a sense of direction of how you will accomplish it.
When you are young you remain connected to that purpose and direction until you begin to meet with other poeples expectations of you.
Then your purpose becomes doing what you need to do to receive love from your parents, havings friends when you go to shcool, being popular by the time you reach 8th grade, finding a boyfriend or girlfriend in High School.
When High School graduation comes around you are already well into planning your career and the life you think you want to have. Each time you have adjusted your sense of purpose and direction to fit the desires and expectations of those you love. Many times you felt that you weren't happy but ignored or supressed those thoughts and kept on trying to find ways to be happy without slowing down, centering and creating happiness from within.

Then your cycle continues into the adult responsibilities of working, raising a family and having friends. At each new turn of your life you want to keep going forward until one day you come to terms with the part of you that has been suppressed all along. All of a sudden you want to leave the confines of whatever situation you find yourself in, work, relationship, the place you are currently living in. everything inside of you says you've got to go. It feels scary because you don't know anyone who's done this and your inner urge is telling you you've got to do it.
You arrive in sunny Sedona and find a town full of people with stories just like yours. And you feel safe again. They did it- I can do it.
Then you get to work on what you feel your purpose and direction is. Sometime along the way other challenges some small and others larger come into play. If your soul energy and connection isn't deep enough you can easily be washed away by the energy. Something deep inside of you keeps calling you to stay but you still don't know how to either financially or emotionally. You haven't quite relaxed into your full manifestation and things seem like they have taken a extraordinarily long time to come together. Welcome to the desert that called you here and the awakening of the time in your life as a late bloomer that fits with all the planetary changes and cycles of time.

You are on purpose, following the direction and guidance of your soul, knowing on the one hand that you are absolutely where you belong and struggling on the physical mundane level to keep it together. You are receiving Sedona Schnebly's master training. She came here and struggled in this harsh desert environment too. While the Native Americans referred to Sedona as the womb of the Earth Mother and revered her by keeping her energy pure. We pioneers saw her beauty and wanted to be a part of it.

It called you to follow your purpose and direction, to strengthen your spiritual knowledge with like minded souls and to go to the deepest core of your fears, blocks and stuck places. It called you to clean your being from the core outward. It helped you to recognize yourself as a being that works with manifesting by the power of thought in the desert which takes 10 years for flowers to bloom, 50 years for century plants to bloom and 50 or more years for Suguaro cactus to grow an arm. It helps you to understand why its taking you so long to accomplish simple things you desire in your life.

Sit back, enjoy the warmth of the desert. Let it teach you all about yourself, about life, about endurance, courage in the face of adversity and slow, steady growth.
