09-13-08 What are We Waiting for and why are We Saving?

Imagine that you have the power to step forward and to change anything you want to change. The power to have your own point of view and stand up firmly for it. The power to be brillant, handsome, gorgeous, talented and fabulous.
Who knows how many wonderful world changing, life changing, fortune changing or just day to day changing ideas bit the dust because someone smart, talented and passionate gave their power away.
Hold on to your ability to see patterns and possibilities, thrive in ambiguity, be mentally flexible, be articulate, passionate, imaginative and congenial. This will help to make you sought after by members in the 'new community' of life.
Think like a trapeze artist. They know that the greatest flyers are always the greatest fallers. This is because they don't confuse falling with failing. They also know that we all have days when we fall and days when we fly. It's all part of the experience. They don't stay focused on the 'falling', they stay focused on the flying. They stay focused on how good it feels and on getting back up there to 'feel' good again and again. Actors have similar feelings of how good it feels to give a great performance. Healers know what it is like to feel the flow of energy that moves through them to facilitate their client. We enjoy it and want to do as much of it as we can.
So begin to let go of the idea of waiting for the perfect conditions, the right situation, the right alignment of planets. It's time to know your true power, revel in it and finally own it.
Along with owning your power comes celebrating yourself. Celebrate every day as special. Wear your favorite shirt, your pretty clothes. Use your new towels, favorite dishes, you deserve it.
Acknowledge that others deserve it when they celebrate themselves. Share in their joy, spontaniety. Congratulate them for loving and acknowledging themselves.
Do something for yourself each day that says "I'm valuable and I love myself". Give yourself the time and attention you deserve. Know that you don't need to wait any longer. You can live fully in the now. You can enjoy, embrace and experience as much of life as you choose to. Also know that you don't have to 'save' your special mug, you can use it every day.
So many times when I feng shui someone's home I find the beautiful china and crystall hidden. The expensive artwork in storage or in a closet. Beautiful linens , towels, and bedding in drawers, closets and boxes.
One of the first things I do is to have my client place these items out where they can be seen and enjoyed. I help them to incorporate the beauty of these pieces into their daily lives to begin to enjoy these family heirlooms and treasures.
